| BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG NEWS! |
[Oct. 8th, 2007|04:42 pm] |
Hey there lil ol' live journal, we have not spoken in ages.
I have some big news for you all who still consider me as a friend (lj style)..
Im moving to Adelaide in the next 2 weeks! My boyfriend got a promotion (for his recently acquired job, yay for him getting promoted so quick!) and now we are moving to Adelaide so he can work there! Crazy news....Ive already got a job semi lined up with another ISP (if you didnt know already, Ive been working for Westnet as a tech support monkey for a couple of months). Just been packing like mad, and getting our furniture picked up tomorrow! I actually leave on the 20th of October, one way! So maybe a bit less than two weeks...
I know most of you will say (as I have found so far) 'why would you want to go to Adelaide'. I've always had the inclination that I would move away eventually, this is just a step to move further east in the end. Yes, Adelaide is full of old people and old cars, and is even SLOWER than Perth, but I dont mind so much. I've been there enough to know what Im in for :D
Anyhoo, thats the update. Seeya on the flipside people! |

| | Eskimo Joe - How Does It Feel | ] | Well, I thought I better update, since I havent in a little while, and something big in my life has changed since my last post.
I GOT A NEW JOB!!!!!!
Im working for a network integration company as a network technician :P He He He :) I am so happy! Got the job 2 1/2 weeks ago, just out of the blue (Im working at the same company as my boyfriend, so thats how I got the job). So no more subway after 2 1/2 years of working too hard for such little pay. *does a little dance* But its going really good, ive had a couple of bad days (getting sent to a site on your own on the second day was a nightmare!) but mostly good.
However, Ive gone part time at uni. Still going to uni for a day and a bit and I work the rest of the week.......but heres the best part........I dont have to work saturdays and sundays. Very happy. Can almost relax a bit but I still have uni work to do then also.
Anyways, nothing else has changed, so Ill leave it at that.
:D Ciao! |

Heh many thanks to yearofthedog for tagging me. It needed to be done to kick my butt into gear and post 6 things about me that are random....mmmmm randomness :) Ok here goes....
1. I do a really good impression of a monkey.... just ask Michael! 2. I did not cut my hair from 1999 till 2006 3. My favourite candy is strawberry licorice 4. I cannot swim very well, I can only float 5. My dream when I was in year 4 was to go to university! 6. I sometimes get the first letters in words switched, eg i would say 'can I Cave some Handy' instead of 'can I Have some Candy'
Wow, that was harder than I thought....even Michael couldnt think of anything for me. Pretty lame but oh well.
Update on happenings in my life: - This is my last full semester of uni, then I have one more unit to complete. - Michael and I are together still (2 years 9 months and counting! :D) - Still working at subway - I am now 22 years old - Thinking of going to Adelaide next school holidays - Getting a brilliant new computer in the next couple of months (Hello Conroe E6600, 2GB RAM, Asus mobo, 7600GT graphics :D) - I am healthy and happy
Short but sweet. Ciao! |

It is currently the bad time of the uni semester, where everything needs to be finished and handed in...and exams are around the corner....STRESS! Ive only got two this semester so its pretty good. Next semester is my last full time semester, after that I only have a couple of units to redo from failing them. Uni is pretty good, but very hard!
Im still with my boyfriend Michael, for more than 2 years now! Its been great, and things are still good.
Im turning 22 this july...(the first of july for those that dont know :P) I cant believe how old im getting.
Im still working at subway harbourtown in perth. Over two years now that I have been there. I cant wait to get a proper job!
Anyways, time is short, so I gotta go.
Ciao
P.S Will try and post more...Sorry!!! :P |

1. I've been to Adelaide. Once. That was my one and only plane flight.
2. I have a size 7 1/2 shoe, sometimes an 8.
3. I haven't been to Rottnest before...but maybe sometime soon!
4. I have one year of uni to go!
5. I can never seem to get my legs tanned. No matter how hard I try. White legs, brown arms and shoulders. It looks weird!
*ahem*
That was about all I could think of. Damn these are harder than you think! Noodlez you should see Pulp Fiction. It is a MUST see damn cool movie. Samuel L Jackson's performance is second to none!
And now I must tag others.....</a></b></a> chipaholic and </a></b></a> eldudyrino. Go forth and write 5 random things about yourselves!! I know a bit about you Tash, but it will be interesting to find some random stuff about you Stuart! :) |

| | The Darkness - Dinner Lady Arms | ] | Well its here already. My goodness how fast the year has gone! Its come upon me so fast im not prepared for it. Gotta buy pressies and organise my trip to Bunbury for the day.
Work is becoming increasingly busier, with the holiday season and all, so I kinda resent christmas for that. But not really. I just don't like it when work is busy.
I have the next two days off!! Wahoooooooooooo! I havent had 2 days off in a row for a couple of weeks now. *stretches* time to relax a little me thinks :)
Im glad you made it through your marathon day Tash, and we will have to catch up another time! Michael and I had to go early ourselves from Ingrids party as he had to work at 6am :( Was good to see everyone, but I didnt know half the people that were there.
I saw Harry Potter on the saturday just gone. I was a little dissapointed to tell you the truth....It left a lot out, and one really important bit (in my opinion) wasnt in there!!! How can they not show the actual Quidditch game being played!?!?!?! Bah! Damn movie producers don't know whats good for the public. Even Lord Voldemorts eyes werent red. How can he be mean and evil when he doesn't have red eyes!?!?! *shrugs* But it was okay. I shouldnt have gone to an afternoon session however, and my lesson is learned. Too many squealy kids and noisy people....some people can be so rude with those laser pointer things.
Well thats my bit for the day.
Merry Christmas everyone :) |

| | Kosheen - Empty Skies | ] | Its been a busy last couple of days.
Tuesday night, Michael and I went and saw a movie with our uni buddies, 'The Constant Gardener'. What a load of shite that was! It said it was a thriller, and it turned out to be very boring. No action whatsoever. Bah! So my review for that movie is 'Dont see it. No stars outta five.' But we then vowed to forget we even saw the movie and went and got a snack at KFC.
Yesterday I got Serious Sam 2, and installed it. Its great :) Very fun game with a lot of crap to shoot at. Very colourful atmostphere with lots of hidden goodies if you can find them. Then Michael and I went and met with Damien and his new gf Ingrid (who by the way is very nice), Tash and Stuart, Ingrids friend, then later on Bart and Noodlez. It was great to see everyone again, Ive been a bit of a unsocial person of late! Theyre all doing well and their healthy so Im very happy that we both got to see them. Michael likes them too which is good. He's a little quiet at first with people he doesnt know so I hope they didnt get the wrong idea about him!
Anyways, I have to get ready for work. Ciao!

Also, today has been a really good day. First my last exam was this morning, so there was much happiness over exams finishing. I proceeded to go home with Michael and have lunch while watching Desperado (Michael hasn't seen it before! Gees!) So that was nice. Then he also received his fifth season of The Sopranos on DVD in the mail, so we watched an episode of that....quite funny indeed. THEN the soccer was on tonight, and what a glorious victory Australia had (all the way to a penalty shootout!) AAAAAAND lastly, I was cleaning up some stuff and I found a money order I was supposed to cash ages ago (worth $100!!) and $20 sitting in an envelope! So all in all a VERY good day :)
So, now Ill be working full time at work....approximately 35-40 hours a week (5 days a week) so I can get saving again. Yay! Well Im going to play some Simpsons Hit and Run. Ciao!

| | The Veronicas - Secret | ] | I dont really have much to post but thought I would anyways.
Exams are coming up soon. Two exams on the 14th and one exam on the 16th. What sucks though, is that I have one exam on the 14th at 3:30pm and then the next one is on at 6:45pm!!! How stupid can the timetable organisers get! I put an appeal through with my friends at uni to back me up, but they wouldn't have a bar of it. Bastards.
I had a bit of a mishap with our car yesterday. It wouldnt start in the morning, so Michael had to get his parents to take him to work. He got home from work, and we tried to see what was wrong with it. We decided it needed more oil as we neglect it quite a bit. So Im putting more oil in it and I couldnt figure out how much was in there coz the oil dipstick was so dirty we couldnt see it properly, so I ended up putting too much in......a lot too much. But we got Michaels parents to bring their car over and jump start ours (because it was most likely the battery preventing it from starting) and that seemed to get it working. So we went and took a trip to our local mechanic and got a new battery. We were quite happy that our car was running much better now, so we thought we would go shopping for our new fridge that we are in the market for. Around the corner, Michael hears this *ping* noise and HUGE plooms of smoke (blue smoke) start pouring out of the exhaust pipe.... Panic ensues, so we put the car in neutral and go back around the corner to the mechanic. We told him what happened and he basically told us we had put too much oil in and we could have blown a piston ring. Which to replace the whole engine had to be taken out and it would cost upwards of a grand. So he emptied out the oil (there was 10 litres of oil in our car...poor thing!) and put the right amount in. Then he took it for a drive round the suburbs really pushing it to get all the oil out of the exhaust system and everything. He came back 5 minutes later and said that if the smoke clears today while your driving it, then you wont need to get it replaced. But if it keeps smoking for the next few days, its gunna have to be replaced. Luckily enough, the smoke has gone, and everythings fine! BLOODY CARS! I wish I knew more about them.
Well. Thats about the only excitement ive had in the last few days. Sorry for the lengthy paragraph! Back to studying!

| | Robbie Williams - Random Acts of Kindness | ] | Its been a while since I posted. It's really funny, I check my friends page every day and read up on everyone elses lives, but my own life never gets posted up here anymore. Well heres an update for all my friends (if your still my friends....)
Im still at uni, finishing my second year. Doing a bit of programming in java, learning about oracle sql and learning also about the wonders of software engineering *cough* program management *cough*. These are the units im doing this semester. Im still working at Subway....but Ive been promoted to an assistant manager sort of role, with 2 other people at our store. Our manager is leaving to go to Europe for a couple of months so we are taking up the slack while hes gone.
Im still with my boyfriend Michael, and very happily. We have been dating for 1 and a half years now, just celebrated on October 13. Its a nice feeling to be in a steady relationship. I actually live with him too now if no one knows that, which has been good, but expensive. Other than that, Im still the same old person I used to be. Nothing new. Oh other that im 21 now, so im getting older. Even this Robbie Williams music Im listening to is starting to sound like old people music!
Tash - im sorry to hear about what happened to you and Stuart about the keylogger person :( Your right, I didnt know it would actually happen to someone I know. Hope Commonwealth helps you out with that! And good luck with the ATO job, like Russell said, sounds like youve got it already.
Gunna go now, Age of Empires 3 beckons..... P.S I hope I will post more often... |

| | The Killers - Smile Like You Mean It | ] | I cant believe i havent made an entry in here for so long. This used to be a beloved thing to me but now its gotten a bit dusty. I read other peoples livejournals but i dont bother to write in mine. Weird.
I have been busy with my studies at uni lately, such that they pose a shitload of homework for me to finish and hand in. But i am still enjoying it (thank goodness for CCNA!!) I am still working at subway harbourtown, and have been with them for over a year now. Getting pretty repetitive and boring, but i love the people i work with and its a source of income so it will stay until i find something better. I have also moved house now, I am living with my boyfriend in Joondanna in Perth. Around 15-20 mins from Curtin Uni, but its very close to everything else. Its great here, and we have ADSL now, which is so sweet! Its the iinet DSLAM ADSL which has given us a connection with around 5Mbit/s worth of bandwidth! Very nice.
I just got home yesterday from a trip up north to a place called Dongara/Port Denison (around 65 kms south of Geraldton) but we also visited Geraldton too. We went and saw the Pinnacles in the Nambung National Park (they were very interesting, i will try and post pictures soon) and went 4WDing along the beach and on a few really bumpy tracks. We also had a spot of fishing (Michael's parents and little sister came with us so fishing was mainly carried out my Michael and his dad as I have no interest in fishing) and took in the sights of the absolutely beautiful beaches. It was nice to get away from Perth for a bit as I have never really travelled much before. But being in a car for hours wasnt good as it was a bit squashy sometimes but meh.
And Tash, I wanna see some wedding photos up soon :) I bet they will be lovely :)
Anyways, Ciao!! -Chrissy |

| | Robbie Williams - Love Supreme | ] | Mmmm Spanners post has made me think that I should prolly chuck a post up here and let everyone know what Ive been up to.
The biggest thing thats happened to me is that I went to Adelaide for the weekend. Thursday night to monday night. First time on a plane, first time outta the state.....a lot of first times for a lot of stuff happened on that weekend. It was a good time....didnt get sick on the plane, met a lot of new people (my boyfriend michaels family mostly), learnt a few new words in italian, most of them being bad words :P Thanks to Michael and his brother Phillips influence :P Went to the casino and didnt spend much, but didnt win anything so its all good. The roads are shocking over there..damn clay ground just cracks up everything there. It also gets VERY cold there...at night anyways. Also visited a concrete plant (one of michaels uncles business) and drove a front end loader....dang that was fun! Also visited Murray Bridge which is like an hour from Adelaide, and is very cold there too. Went for a ride on a four wheeler bike.....that was a blast, getting up to 67kms/hr along some gravel track there!! Wheeeeeeee! Stayed at a hotel called the Embassy...like $250 a night...but was WELL worth it. Nice view, nice spa bath, nice everything. But all in all, a VERY good time.
My job is going well, at Subway still. Being told that I possess the best customer service out of everyone working there was a real confidence boost and im still going on about it after like three weeks! Ive been given more responsibility there so thats really good.
My car is currently out of service and has been for the last 4 or 5 weeks. Thanks to my boyfriend i have still been getting around thankfully! I just have not had the time to get it fixed, and plan to this week.
I am probably going to Bunbury in the July holidays for up to a week depending on how things go. I plan to celebrate the finish of my semester 1 exams (*groan*) somehow with my boyfriend or with my uni friends.
Michael and I have been going out for about a month and a half and it has been very good :) I mean its still in its early stages..the "honeymoon period" as its called, but its great :) Im very happy at the moment.
Well hope everyone is good and happy with their lives. -Chrissy |

| | none. too early in the morning for that shit. | ] | Well. I saw Kill Bill Vol 2. That was easily one of the best movies ive ever seen. It had everything I love about movies...sword fighting, blood, irony, sarcasm, wit..it was just damn good. A weird thing in the movie, is they mentioned Perth as a place someone was hiding out in, and it was funny to listen to the whole cinema laugh and be amazed that that can happen in an american movie. Damn.
Uni is goin crazy...exams are coming in a few weeks and Im getting slightly worried. Although, we just got a new maths lecturer, and thats made my hopes better. He is a much better Maths lecturer than "Archie" as he was affectionately called....
If anyone is willing to donate me a decent car, out of the kindness of their heart, say a skyline or something.....*laughs* that would be great. Win yourself some lottery money and do the right thing! :D hahahahhaha!
